Thirty-year-old Chinese woman A lives in both Beijing and Berlin and earns her living as a translator. She struggles to find a position in German theater but cannot succeed because of the cultural alienation between China and Germany. B, a thirty-year-old German homosexual man, invites her to join a theatre production about post-colonialism. The two arrive at Qingdao – a German colony in China in 1900 – however, embark on two different journeys of discovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
